Looking for a staple to try out in Destin? The Donut Hole, which has been in business since 1978, is the place to go! Every day, the Donut Hole bakes fresh pastries, donuts, and bread early in the wee hours of the morning. A few special items are a must when you visit, such as the Red Velvet Cake Doughnut, frosted with cream cheese. Be sure to get there early as the typically sell out by 8:30 am, along with their tasty Apple Fritters!

 The Donut Hole serves more than just breakfast (which can be had any time during the day). They also serve a full menu that includes lunch and dinner. But breakfast has some amazing items on the menu, such as The Texas Sweet Potato Pancakes, definitely one of the best recipes in the United States! Enjoy them with syrup made with pecans and brown sugar for an amazing flavor combination. Another popular choice, the Bayou Omelet, is filled with fresh local blue crab meat, onions, peppers, and cheese.

You’ll certainly enjoy your share of pancakes at this aptly named restaurant. Their classic pancake has hints of vanilla mixed into the sweet mixture. Try pancakes filled with amazing combinations, such as blueberries, chocolate chips, and bananas. There is even a bacon filled pancake available! Love ice cream? Try The Big Apple, a pancake topped off with apple compote and vanilla ice cream. Try a wild combination of banana, strawberries and chocolate chips when you order The Destinite. All pancake orders are two large cakes or try the Sand Dollar stack, which are cakes the size of silver dollars.
